Sennheiser is a company that is known to produce nicely crafted products that satisfy audio enthusiasts from all over the world. When a lot of people think about this brand, they think of high-quality headphones with crystal-clear sound. While most people know that this brand is pretty good at producing headphones for listening to live and recorded music, not as many people know that they’re products are also pretty good for watching TV. Which is why I’ve decided to review one of their products today: the Sennheiser RS-195.
Detailed Review of Sennheiser RS-195 Wireless Headphones
Hands down, the RS-195 is very sleek looking with its elegant black color and smooth design. It does seem like it has the aesthetics that I’ve been looking for in a good pair of TV headphones.
Background on these Headphones
The Sennheiser RS-195 Wireless is an example of an ideal partnership between two great companies. Due to their collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology, they have produced a pretty good set of headphones for listening to TV, music or just about anything else.
Ergonomically designed and engineered with state of the art technology, these headphones have a nice design and offer comprehensive sound options that can be adapted to an individual’s personal audio needs.
Sennheiser is a brand that has a 70-year tradition of producing well designed audio products. Ever since electrical engineer Prof. Dr. Fritz Sennheiser founded the company in 1945, they’ve been producing high-quality audio solutions for customers all over the globe.
Easy to install
These headphones have a multi-purpose transmitter which can be connected to a number of different audio sources and produce high-quality sound. This transmitter also acts as a docking station that allows you to charge the headphones when necessary.
It has an operating range of approximately 330-feet, which should be good enough to cover a good portion of the interior of the average home and do so without compromising the digital audio quality.
The ear cups are well padded which makes them quite comfortable to wear. The controls are intelligently located for better accessibility.
It’s very easy to operate this product and most users will be able to use them right out of the box. For me, it was fairly easy to set up and I was listening to my TV in no time whatsoever.
When I first tried these headphones, I thought that the sound quality was crisp and clear. I had no problem listening to music or the TV with them. And I really liked the fact that the controls allowed me to choose from two different modes (speech & music)—depending on what I was listening to at the time.
- Rechargeable batteries are provided
- Instant connectivity to a variety of different devices

The RS-195 is a very nice set of headphones for watching movies and listening to music. It has a nice range, looks good and allows the user to choose between “speech” and “music” modes. And I do think it is one of the best headphones for watching television. I would have to give a thumbs up to the Sennheiser RS-195.
